Lake Side - Dindugul

Situated between the tourist cities of Madurai and Tiruchirapalli, Lakeside's prime location on Kamaraj Lake places it not only in a designated tourist area but also an area of outstanding natural beauty bordering the Palani Hills and Tamil Nadu plains. Lakeside boasts a main guesthouse with five en-suite twin bedrooms, and five attractive cottages. The rooms are simply furnished and comfortable; you may choose whether to stay in the main guest house or one of the cottages (which sleep 2 and have a spacious living area for your relaxation).  Breakfast is taken on the lake view verandah, whilst lunch is in the open-ended living area. The evening meal is taken on the large rooftop terrace overlooking the lake and mountains. The multi-cuisine kitchen offers a wide variety of both authentic Indian cuisine and continental meals. Although menus are fixed the local staffs are happy to cater for individual needs and preferences.

The guesthouse and cottages are nestled within 4.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens where you can spend many secluded hours of rest. The lake is a short stroll away and you can even walk all the way round to take in the wonderful views.  If landscape inspires you, why not spend the day climbing up into the hills behind the guesthouse where you will be able to take in the amazing panorama. Alternatively you can simply relax and enjoy the magnificent lake and mountain scenery from a comfortable chair on the Lakeside veranda.

Lakeside is the ideal base for guests wishing to take one of a selection of guided tours to experience the sights and sounds of rural India by day, returning to the peaceful serenity and comfort of Lakeside for the evening. City life and spectacular temples are within easy reach, providing a tantalising taste of the wealth of different cultural experiences available in southern India.
